Scrolling two listviews simultaneously

Hi,

I have a simple application which contain two list views displaying data. I
am searching for solution that makes both the horizontal or vertical scroll
bar move simultaneously so that text displayed is in sync in both the list
views.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks and Regards,

Rajat,

Check this previous thread. It shows you how synch up the two scroll
bars:

http://groups.google.com/group/micro...c7891f15d1732c

It will require some interop, but shouldn't be too hard.

Hope this helps.

I'm working (playing) on a mouse following script. Yes, the sort no one likes but I'm having great fun tinkering with it - sad. Anyway, if there's enough page content to cause scrolling and I want the objects (colored divs) to scroll with the mouse in Opera 6. I give the mouse y coords (-) window.pageYOffset and the objects (+) window.pageYOffset. However, in Opera 7 it doesn't work. Only the following objects need (+)...

Hi All, I'm trying to tie two ListViews together so that when the user scrolls one, the other stays 'in sync'. Since there are no OnScroll events, and the scroll bar position is unavailable, I've been forced to create my own ListView class and override WndProc. In this I've caught all instances of WH_VScroll and WH_HScroll, and then I can pass this info onto the second ListView by using the User32.dll method SendMessage. This all works...

If I have a Listview (in report mode) and theres several hundred items in it, is there any way programatically, to automatically scroll to the last item...Eg. the same thing that would happen if you were to click the list to give it focus, and then press the END key. I think I could do it by Selecting the last Item, but I'd rather not unselect anything the user had selected...I have multiselect FALSE Also, another question about...

Hi, I have a question regarding the creation of multiple listviews during run-time. I currently have code that uses a loop to create 5 listviews with identical properties (excep for the name). Once a listview is created, it s filled with data loaded from a txt file and then the loop iterates too creat the next listview. My problem is that while I am able to create and fill the listviews, I am not actually able to perform any actions...

Hi, I have 2 ListViews, one above the other, and I need to keep them horizontally synchronised. I managed to hide the bottom LV scrollbar (user is not supposed to scroll it) and to scroll it when user clicks on the scollbar or scrollbar arrows. However, the scrollbar does not move when the user keep the scrollbar thingy (I don't know the right word) and move it without releasing the mouse. And unfortunately, that's the easiest way of...

Hi All, I am using the flow control (can't remember its full name), to display a few dynamically created controls based on the tags the user has added to my system. This works fine, except when a user scrolls this control area (when there are a lot of controls) the screen update is terrible whilst the user is actually scrolling. The result looks fine when they stop scrolling though. The nature of the problem is that it appears to me...

Hi all, I have two listviews in a windows form one on the right, the other on the left, separated by a splitter and both have related data. So what i need is, if i scrolled the one on the left, the right one scrolls in syncronization, so at any time any line in the left list correspondes to a line at the right list. In other words, i need to apply any scrolling that a user perform in the left view to the right view with the same magnitude. ...

Searched everywhere for a way to synchronise the scrolling of 2 listviews, found a few that were too big and complicated or did not work properly, so made my own by trickery You need 2 or more listviews and a vertical scroller, get them from the components/microsoft common tools 6 put the first listview where you want it and the second overlapping the first so that it hides the built in vertical scrollbar put the scrollbar on top of the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
