C# Access2000->Access2003

MAT
Hi.
I developed a software that uses a Access 2000 database communication (with
odbcConnection) , because I have Office 2000 in my PC. The Software does not
run in a PC that has Access 2003 (because of an error by database
communication). What should I do in order to make the SW run in all PCs (with
office 2000 or offive 2003).
Thanks..

It should be the same, I cannot think of any feature of 2K that is not
supported in 2003 , the SQL language is pretty straighforward and if you
create your ODBC correctly it should be ok.

Well, the error is THE important thing, also testing it should be fairly
simple.

Hi to all, I havea big DB with information and pictures of our employees and this DB is used by a lot of people in our company. The data format is Access2000. In the past the import of pictures without problem, I clicked in a form -> import object -> create new -> MS Photo editor -> etc. On my desktop I have now installed Office2003 and here is not more the MS Photo Editor but the MS Office Picture Manager and he is not listed in the...

Hoping someonce can tell me what compatibility problems I might run into when I have to have my Access Project developed on Access2K run in a user environment where users are using Access2003 as well as Access2000. I have already seen a problem where if I open my project using Access2003 and save any objects, then run it on Access2000, I encounter "Bad DLL Calling Convention error..." on the Access2K machines. If I never open and save the...

I'm setting up a project for a client on a new Windows Terminal Server. The application is currently in A2K, but the sysadmin does not want to install that, he wants to install A2K3, because Office 2K3 is the organization's new standard (they want to be fully converted within the new calendar year). What issues will I have, if any, with A2K3 on WTS? Anything different from A2K? Anything not specific to WTS that I need to know about...

I need to synchronize 3 databases (1 Master and 2 replicas). I thought I'd give the Replica feature in Access2000 a whirl. I'm not sure I'm THAT impressed.....but maybe I'm just doing something wrong. I'll outline the issues below and then maybe someone who has experience with replicating this way can tell me if this is the route I should take, or if I should just use my own routine which compares strings for each field. 1) I've...

I've split a rather large Access2000 database that resides on a network drive, by keeping the back-end on the network drive and placing the front-end on the client's hard drive, linked to it. Both front-end and back-end dbs are then compacted to save space. This is a normal procedure, but when I run the database now it performs much, much slower than the old unsplit version of the database, which is unacceptable. I have had to back off...

Hi I have distributed an mdb file that works fine on my PC using Access 2003, but when a copy I sent to someone running Access2003 he gets the error message "missing the intranet or the website". This is driving me nuts. Could anyone please shed some light on what is causing this and any possible fixes. Very much appreciated.

Hi All We have upgraded from Access2000 to Access2003 with all service packs. The problem that we have is: When a user try's to filter a client the database crashes and close's Access2003, this is happening on a regular basis. We never had this problem in Access2000. Would it be something to do with code?

Hello. Could somebody explain the following situation: I have a .mdb on my notebook with Windows XP SP2 and Access 2003. I prepared ..mde and tried to use it on another computer with Windows XP SP2 and Office XP installed on it. An error "...Your VBA project is corrupted" appeared. When I copy .mdb to that computer, instead of .mde, it works. If I then make the .mde on that computer, it works! If I copy the .mde then to the first...

Running an Access2000 application in Access 2003 and getting the 3231 run-time error. This application has all linked tables some of which are Access and the rest are DB2. In the environment of Access2000 and DB2 v7.1 FP 6, it runs sucessfully. Execute the SAME .MDB from Access2003 and DB2 v8.l FP 5 or from Access2000 and DB2 V8.1 FP 5 it fails with the 3231 error. I have looked at the references in Access and made all the selections...

Hi all, I am deploying an A2k app to users with different versions of Access. Using Access 2000 the relinking on startup (on deploying a new frontend or when backend has changed) is very fast. It takes about 4-5 seconds to relink some 50 tables. (I am relinking, not refreshing) Using Access 2003 the relinking is very slow compared with Access 2000. Now It takes about 1,5 to 2 minutes !! to relink the same 50 tables. I am testing...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
