What are the difference between "modules" and "components "?

Are they the same thing?

Nice,

No, they are not. A component is typically synonymous with a class
(although definitions will vary as to what this class has to conform to in
order to be a component).

As for modules, they contain type definitions, and there can be one or
more modules in an assembly.

Hope this helps.

I did it. I proposed python as the main language for our next CAD/CAM software because I think that it has all the potential needed for it. I'm not sure yet if the decision will get through, but something I'll need in this case is some experience-based set of rules about how to use python in this context. For example... is defining readonly attributes in classes worth the hassle ? Does duck-typing scale well in complex

Hello, in VB6 we werr able to make ActiveX-DLL's (In Process Components) and ActiveX-Exe (Out Of Process Components). Out Application is build of one main application that starts other modules. Hello all, in VB6 we were able to create ActiveX-DLL's (In Process Components) and ActiveX-Exe's (Out of Process Components). We habe build up an application that exists of an main module (Standard Exe) that calls and controls other modules (ActiveX-Exe). We decided for ActiveX-Exe because they run in different processes. That means if one module shuts down, the others are still alive. Second reasons

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

Not sure exactly what my question is or what forum to ask on. I know how to get version info from a particular file. e.g. FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(filePath) What I'd like to do is get version info for Microsoft "components" such as MDAC, DAO, MFC Runtime, etc. An "overall" level rather than specific file version. For example .NET - 1.0 or 2.0, MDAC 2.5 or 2.7, etc. Any way? Or better forum?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
