Oracle Advanced Queuing

I would like to be able to subscribe to an Oracle queue using C# within
Biztalk and dequeue data. I saw a post on the codeproject website (AQLib)
but when I attempted to download the code sample it asked me to log in. I'd
rather not but will if I must.

Does anyone have any experience and/or code samples for accomplishing this
task? Thanks..

Company thought DB2 will be better than Oracle. The bottom line is when you do select, the system crash. I think it may take 4-5 years for DB2 to reach Oracle standard. Peter

All - The project I'm on requires a secure connection between our Java J2EE application (running on BEA WebLogic 8.1) and Oracle 9i via JDBC. As I understand it, both the thin and thick Oracle JDBC drivers support encrypted connections to the database, but I believe both require the server to have Oracle Advanced Security installed. Is this true? Also, is there a way to perform secure (encrypted) JDBC calls to Oracle

One of my friends, Scott, is a consultant who doesn't currently have newsgroup access so I am asking these questions for him. I'll be telling him how to monitor the answers via Google Newsgroup searches. Scott has heard a lot of hype about DB2 and Oracle and is trying to understand the pros and cons of each product. I'm quite familiar with DB2 but have never used Oracle so I can't make any meaningful comparisons for him. He does not have...

I have an ASP page setup for doing maintenance jobs in Oracle. Clicking a maintenance job spawns a new window (cut down to a small size with Javascript) and the jobs runs. Just before processing starts I output a message to the user in this new window using a span (with an ID) using Response.Flush. This is to let the user know that processing has started. After the procedure has completed, I update the span message using its ID with...

The machine is running XP Pro with all the latest service packs, etc. I must access an Oracle database so I installed the Oracle client stuff. I can query Oracle from a Windows app, no problem. Using the exact same code (copy and paste) into a Web app I get the following error "Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-01019". Security I thought, so I use Impersonation on the Web site, then the aspnet_wp.exe crashes with "The...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
