I created a webcontrol with inside a dropdownlist, and exposed its proprieties DataSource,DataMember,DataTextField,DataValueField But I can't set the DataSource from the aspx page (DataSource='<%#this.DataSource%>' ). If I set a breakpoint inside the DataSet propriety, I see that the thread never reach this point, the DataSource propriety will never be called. Why? <%@ Register TagPrefix="wcl" Namespace="WebControlLibrary1"...

My Web dropdownlist with AutoPostback equal to true has code in its SelectedIndexChanged Event . When I change the dropdownlist value and the SelectedIndexChanged Event is executed, the page does a Refresh, puts the initial value back into the dropdownlist, and then runs SelectedIndexChanged with that initial value (not the one I selected). How come? Thanks.

I was wondering if there was any way to add a blank list item control to the beginning of the System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList's datasource after the control's datasource has been specified. Here's my code right now: Dim oEmptyOption as New ListItem() 'Assign datasource to delivery date type combobox

Hi, I have a pop-up window in which I have 3 WebControls.DropDownList controls. I make my selections and when I submit the page, in the code behind page one control has the right value for SelectedIndex and SelectedValue properties, but the other two controls have values like I did not make any selections in them. The only difference between the controls is that the one that's working is defined in the page using <asp:ListItem...

I need to add a list filter to a System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList where as the user types, the items in the list will only appear if they begin w/the letters that are typed. Common functionality I know. I thought I'd need a key_press event to do the filtering and I don't see one available on this control. Can anyone offer me a simple tip to point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
