execute function from a grid

I would like to execute a function from a grid line. For instance in visual
Interdev you simply set the grid line to "=get_function( )" get_function would
execute and the value returned would be displayed in the grid. Surely VS2005
has this capability.

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I'm having problems using a function to get the search criteria for a column in the QBE grid. The column's data type is Long and the problem is that if I want to search on more than one value my function in the QBE correctly returns "1 Or 4" (for example), but something's getting garbled and I'm not getting the same data back if I just enter "1 Or 4" (w/o quotes) in the QBE grid. My guess is that...

Hello to all! 1a. I'm a newbie having trouble accessing a pointer from one .cpp file which is defined within a member function found in a separate .cpp file. I'm looking for a line or two of sample correct syntax, and/or a philosophical hint or two about structuring such requests. Consider the following code snippet from "theFrame.cpp" (written for VC++ 2005 Express), attached. Here, a pointer 'grid' is defined, which is then used a few...

I'm making a very simple game in SDL, and I'm not asking for SDL help I hope - this looks like something C++ related, so I'll ask here. I have a class for a simple block, or tile, in the game, which can be either on or off. I'm having trouble with the constructor though. class block { private: SDL_Surface *screen;

Hello, I have a javascript grid on my ASP page which displays information about the history of specific units produced in our manufacturing facility. One of the results is the order number on which the unit was shipped. If the unit was not shipped, obviously there is no order number; the default value of this field on the data table is 0. Herein lies the problem; if the order number is 0, I do not want the grid to display anything. If...

I have a data table with ~1000 rows. I go through the rows one at a time, checking the contents. If I find a cell with an error, e.g containing null, I use SetColumnError on the data row to flag it. Here's my code: For Each dr As DataRow In MyDataTable.Rows Dim MyValue As Integer If dr("ID").Equals(DBNull.Value) Then

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
