Combobox behavior problem.

I'm working on a C# windows form app, and I can't find anyway to avoid the
following behavior. If the combobox drop down list is open, and you click on
a button (or anywhere) while the drop down list is still open, it closes the
dropdown, but doesn't execute the button (or whatever) until you click on it
again. If I press a Alt-V (or whatever is alt key is assigned to the
button) it will execute the button event.

So is there any way to cause the first click to execute the button instead
of closing the drop down box?

Hi Everyone, I am at my wit's end here. I have a combobox (combyQueryTitle) that I need to use in order to select a query for my database project. Therefore, I am using the comboQueryTitle_SelectedIndexChanged handler to, when a new selection is made, update the query and refresh the display. The only problem is that the program seems to inexplicably start with the ..selectedindex property at -1! This makes no sense to me. ...

I think there is a behavior bug in the combobox control. If you create a new form and add a combobox to it with the following code line to add items to it: Me.ComboBox1.Items.AddRange(New Object() {"Apple Sauce", "Banana", "Apple", "Peach", "Plum"}) The behavior is normal except when you choose Apple. When Apple is selected, if you click the down arrow, Apple Sauce is highlighted (Not apple). This behavior is causing me a problem. ...

I have a project wherein I derive a combobox and create a custom Populate() method for it to fill it with objects of a custom class I also created in a second project that the combobox project references. This custom class has the ToString function overridden to display certain information. Everything worked fine until one day the combobox started displaying "AssemblyName.ClassName" (e.g. "MyProject.MyCustomClass") instead of the...

I have a combobox with items like this: {one, two, three}. The selected index is 0, so "one" appears in the combobox text. When the user drops down the list, and selects "two", for example, I modify the Items collection to be {two, one, three} and now want "two" to appear in the combobox text. However, the combobox text is now blank. the is apparently somehow the result of having changed the combobox.Items collection. If, trying to fix...

I can highlight the data that was previously selected in the combobox, and press the delete key to remove it, but after I move...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
