Databinding a double field and displaying text

Joe
I want to bind a textbox to a field which is a double. If this field has not
yet been set I would like to display a text value. Is there a way to
override the display text when value == somedefault?

I have a form with some text boxes, checkboxes and DateTimePicker controls. I've bound these controls to fields in a dataview. The problem is when I set the filter on the dataview the controls are not showing any of the field values. All this was done with the designer. I know that the view is returning a row because I hooked the view up to a datagrid which is displaying it. Do I need to somehow tell the controls to go out and grab...

I'm writing what should be a very simple app against an Oracle database. The app has a number of user controls, any one of which is loaded into a main display page using the loadControl method, depending on which menu item a user selects. Each of these controls follows the same basic pattern: Get a dataset from the database and then display the results using basic databinding. Everything works fine except that I'll occaisionally get an...

I have a ComboBox and a TextBox bound to a Dataset/datatable returned from a SQL Database. The databinding is set in Design Mode. Everything works fine on my initial fill, and I get the correct list of items in the combobox, and the textbox which is bound to a second column in the same table, changes to the appropriate value when a new item is selected in the ComboBox. The ComboBox is displaying a list of products, and the texbox the...

Greetings! I have a rather unusual request about a rather basic need. I need to be able to bind data to a page, but WITHOUT using a Repeater, DataGrid or DataList. Why? Well, I have some formatting and JavaScript issues that require each and every form element's ID to remain unchanged. Unfortunately, whenever

I am trying to create a form using databinding to a dataset and one of the fields requires the user to select from a list of optons. Any hints on how to do this other than bind the field to a label or text box to display the current field value then add a combo box with the list of items to chose from? -- Dennis in Houston

I've been having problems with databinding. I've created a simple solution to emulate the problem I can't figure out. Basically, I have a TextBox bound to a property in an object. When the property is updated, how do I get the field to show the new value. I assumed that databinding would take care of it automatically. Here is my source code. Can someone tell me what I would need to do to get TextBox2 to update after the f.value is...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
