IIS doesn't found Oracle libraries in runtime

I have done a Web Service (C#) in Visual Studio.NET 2003.
When I drive or debug Web Service which uses Oracle DB it Database classes
gives "Oracle libraries not found" errormessages.

When using Windows application using Oracle same environment can use Oracle
normally. What is usually wron if Web Services or IIS does not found Oracle
libraries?

I have installed Oracle client as other have too but IIS does not find those
Oracle
libraries.

Does IIS need somekind of own configuration when using Web Services or what?

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

It's probably a permission problem. With which user are you running the
asp.net worker process
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...lSection.asp)?
If it's set to machine than you'll need to give that ASPNET account
privileges to access the oracle binaries (ORAHOME)\oraXX \bin

I have some internet chat programs that were written in visual basic and will run on the school's NT machines but won't run on my win95b box. Will installing VB runtime libraries on the 95 box help? If so, which version of the libraries works best with win95b (essentially 98)? I know next to nothing about VB other than it is a programming language. What purpose(s) if any will the runtime libraries

No, I'm not a troll, just angry. I just started learning C++, and find it extremely lacking compared to Java. For example, I had to write my own functions to do something as simple as a case insensitive string comparison, and a substring search. Then I found that there are no networking classes to speak of (except sockets). After I thought about it, C++ really pales by comparison. Java has a rich set of networking classes, regular...

(Followups set to comp.std.c. Apologies if the crosspost is unwelcome.) strchr() is to strrchr() as strstr() is to strrstr(), but strrstr() isn't part of the standard. I am not sure which forum I should post this on, but here is the problem. I have a front end web application(VB) on asp,net 1.1 framework. Inside of the code, I have the following lines to connect to the database If gbSQLServer Then 'sConnectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source=c:\w\vgyl\hy.mdb" gsConnectionString = "Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=frt4;Initial Catalog=SRMSM;Integrated Security=SSPI" Else

I need to connect to an Oracle database. I've never done it before. I see that with framework 1.1 you had to download ODP.NET from Oracle's site in order for the framework classes to even work. I tried that quickly, but the file is 400 MB, and the the installation asks for all kinds of things in order to install. Now I'm very confused. a) Do you still need ODP.NET with framework 2.0? b) Do you need to download and install other...

Why doesn't C# allow incremental compilation like Java? Specifically, in Java I can compile single .java files in isolation. The resulting individual .class files can be grouped into .jar files. In C#, there appears to be no analog. I have to compile all my .cs files into a single .dll. This has serious drawbacks in terms of compilation. With Eclipse, I change a file and only that file is re-compiled. With Visual Studio, I

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
