DataType for BLOB

What DataType should I use for a field that is BLOB SUBTYPE TEXT on the
backend? I've tried String and Char. I'm getting a runtime error
telling me that the SourceColumn is a Char[].

Thanks.

I've tried this:

dtTasks.Columns .Add("Note", System.Type.Get Type("System.CL OB", false,
true));

I've also tried this:

dtTasks.Columns .Add("Note", System.Type.Get Type("System.BL OB", false,
true));

Both cases return: DataType must not be null.

Is there another way to go about this that I don't know about?

Sorry for the cross post, but I'm stumped. I'm trying to render the XML content that is stored as an image datatype in the SQL Server Reporting Services database.Table Catalog, Content Colmn, using ASP.NET (VB.NET). These look to tbe the RDL files that get uploaded where the TYPE column = 2 in the Catalog Table. What happens is, the xml gets rendered in IE (6.0) but is truncated at the end because it is not well-formed. It seems most...

hello, im doing my first ASP.NET app that inserts & retrieves files from Oracle (no need for a discussion on *that*!). i learned first-hand of the somewhat awkward technique for inserting binary data into an Oracle BLOB column via ADO.NET. since my files are larger than 33k, it seemed had to use this technique: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;322796

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
