how best to organize white box test

I'm working on an MDI app with several dozen forms, it's ready for
white box testing. Is it better style to keep all the test code for
each form inside the form class itself or put it all in a global test
class? It's handling financial data and over time there is likely to
be quite a bit of test code.

Also what are people using for black box automation on WinForms
(besides SilkTest)? Sorry I know that'S beyond the scope of this goup.

Paul

I'm trying to layout a couple text input fields and their corresponding labels without using a table. When I was trying to debug my understanding of CSS, I was *very* surprised to see that span's with borders behave counter-intuitively (IMHO) when using style="white-space: nowrap;". Below is a fairly small chunk of XHTML that demonstrates...

Greetings, Consider the XHTML document attached at the end of this post. When viewed under Firefox 1.0.5 on Linux, highlighting and pasting (into a text editor) the <pre> tag listing will preserve formatting (white space and line feeds). However, this is not true when doing the same with the <code> tag listing (it will all be pasted on one...

Greetings! I ran into the problem that a DLL could not be copied to the run file because a newer version existed there. I seem to have gotten around it temporarily, but I'd like to learn how DLL versioning should be managed. (A coworker said that .Net replaced "DLL Hell" with "DLL Abyss".) Here's my situation: I have been asked to take...

Looking for better practise! In a large asp.net project, how is it best to organize classes? When should I create a new project for a class? Is it better to have fewer files with all the classes in or should I put each class in it's own file? Do you put your class files in a certain folder structure?

What would heavy python unit testers say is the best framework? I've seen a few mentions that maybe the built in unittest framework isn't that great. I've heard a couple of good things about py.test and nose. Are there other options? Is there any kind of concensus about the best, or at least how they stack up to each other? Brendan

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
