Mysql connection string problem

I have a problem with oledb connection string of Mysql for .NET
I installed MyOleDB3.exe Mysql server version 4.1.8-nt
I used this connection string :

strConnectionSt ring="Provider= MySqlProv;Persi st Security
Info=True;Locat ion=10.0.0.17;D ata Source="+strDat abase+";User
Id="+strUser+"; Password="+strP assword+";";

I used OleDbConnection class to connect to MySql
The constructor returns correctly, but
when I call the method Open
the application displays a Dialog with this title
'MYSQL Data Source Name Setup '

Someone can help me?

I have been using MySql as the database using JSP's and JavaBeans but recently I have wanted to start using the database connection pooling mechanism built into TomCat. I think I am having a problem with defining my JDBC resource within Tomcat. I am pretty sure that my code is correct (but I am not certain), and the problem is with defining the resource in Tomcat. Has anyone done this before? Any advice would be helpful.

I'm a Java Web developer NEWBIE that has inherited a website that fails every 2 hours due to poor connection pooling between Tomcat 4.0.6 and mySQL. In efforts to resolve this problem, I've created another replica DEVELOPMENT website and upgraded it to Tomcat 4.1.27. I was told this version of Tomcat supports Database Connection Pooling (DBCP) better than previous versions. I followed the instructions as listed at:...

I am using the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver to link three relatively small MySQL tables to a Microsoft Access 2003 database. I am finding that the data from the MySQL tables takes a hell of a long time to load making any kind linkage with my Access data virtually useless. I have the MySQL driver setup in as a USER DSN. The MySQL data is sitting out on a server and the Access database is running locally. The network connection is very...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
