Oracle DataAccess with Multiple Oracle Homes

On my machine, I have two Oracle clients installed, Oracle8 and Oracle92. I
installed Oracle92 last, so all my applications are using the drivers in the
bin directory of the Oracle92 client (Datasource DS01 points to Oracle92).

DataSource="Use r Id=xxx;Password =xx;Data Source=DS01";

My question is how do I specify for each application which Oracle home to

(My problem is as such. In production I only have the Oracle8 client
installed and 10 applications are currently using it. I have a need to
install the Oracle92 client onto this same box, and repoint one of the ten
apps to use Oracle92 and the remaining 9 to continue to use the
Oracle8.....Is this possible? Can I change something in the Connection
String that will allow me to explicitly use a certain Oracle Home?)

Does anybody know if it is possible to run two different instances (and potentially different releases) of Oracle client on one Windows 2000 PC? However I now want to make this Web Service available to other computers (and applications) in our local company network. When the service runs it accesses an Oracle database and pulls some data out. It...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
