I am trying to meta-search the search engines. At the very least, I am trying to capture the results returned from any search engine (doesn't matter which one), and pick out the results I find relevant based on a parser I would write in ASP. I know google has an API, but it's for personal use only it claims. Anybody have experience...

Are meta tags case sensitive or does case sensitivity vary depending on the search engine a user is using? I've read that some search engines care about case wrt meta tags (for keywords in particular) and I've read that other search engines aren't case sensitive. Is this true? Is there a listing of which search engines pay attention to case...

Are meta tags case sensitive or does case sensitivity vary depending on the search engine a user is using? I'm wondering whether there's a standard regarding case (and other rules) in meta tags (meta data in general). I couldn't find anything definitive, but I could just be mis-searching. (Maybe I searched using the wrong case. :-) ...

I recently build myself a meta-tag based search engine (http://search.floip.com) - not because I think its worth doing on its own but because there where a heap of functions I wanted to write in PHP and that was a good base. Hi, If I use master pages with META tags in the head section... can I still use META tag on the child pages (child pages reference the master page). I ask this question because I heard the more pages with META tags containing search engine key words, the higher the search engine ranking. Thanks, King
