Reading the raw data from text field

I have a third-paty application that uses text type field in MSSQL server to
store data of incoming emails (full raw sources, including headers, etc.).
Since the emails come in different encodings, the character codes in the
sources of these emails are possibly in full byte range. If I read the text
field value from my C# application, I get distorted data, because some
intermediate code applies character conversion to it to deliver me a unicode
string. Nut, I want to receive the string in raw byte array format, so I
could do the adeqate codepage transformation myself.

So, the question is, how I can read the raw byte data from text field of
MSSQL server table, using ADO.NET?

Below is part of a code I have for a database. While the database table is created correctly (if it doesn't exist), and data is input correctly into the database when executed, I have a problem when reading out the data into the PHP variables / array. It should be displaying the information out in the following way, using the PHP array: n_date, n_headline, n_summarytext, n_fulltext

Hello All: I have a field in the database that is an Image. I have no idea how the data is stored in here (Image, compressed, encrypted, plain text, etc). I am trying to write the contents to a text file, image file, etc so I can see if the data is stored in a way we can understand (we have been tasked to write an app and the app needs to read this field, but we don't know what it really contains). How would I go about reading the...

ASP.NET 2.0 with Text DataTypes: I've got a similar question going in the SQL group, but I was wondering if anyone has successfully implemented reading/writing character data from a Text datatype column in SQL 2000. I know there's a Varchar(MAX) feature in SQL2005, but my budget mocks me right now and I need to do it in SQL 2K. Situation: I'm building a resume DB, and for ease of input, I'd really like to be able to use a single...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
