"There is no source code available for the current location"

Hello All,
I've got an app which performs a simple query to a web service and stores
the returning data in a DataSet. The first time through it works find and as
expected. The problem is that the second time I step through and I step on
the line
myDataAdapter1. Fill(tempds);
I get the IDE error...
"There is no source code available for the current location".
If I run the app (not under the debugger) I get no error messages but this
problem usually messes up the web service as I get an error saying "Server
was unable to process request. -> Object reference not set to an instance of
an object". I'm sure this is causing the error because when I comment out
the code hitting the web service, the app runs fine.
The code to hit the web service is simple...

DataSet tempds = new DataSet();
OleDbConnection myOleDbConnecti on = new
OleDbConnection ("Provider=Micr osoft.Jet.OLEDB .4.0;Data Source=" + dbpath +
";Persist Security Info=False");

OleDbDataAdapte r myDataAdapter1 = new
OleDbDataAdapte r(query,myOleDb Connection);
myDataAdapter1. Fill(tempds);

And the query is simple..."selec t field1, field2 from mytable order by
field2".
Has anyone gotten this before or know how I may correct it?

Thanks
Cheers :)

Actually, the code in my first post hits an Access database. But I've got
the same situation occuring on the web service too. The same thing happens.

I'm sorry but I can't figure out how to explain this any better than this. In PHP we have a command "require()" that obtains a file and logically places it into another file. I cannot figure out how to do this in bash script as the requirement is necessary for a migration script to obtain the code from a .cfg file and then be able for the "parent" script to run the code it "imported" from the .cfg file, much like PHP's require() or...

This weird error started showing up as I was developing an email-enabled program. Once it occurs, I cannot set breakpoints in my code. Quitting Visual Studio does not help, nor does restarting my machine. In desperation, I reinstalled the .NET framework 1.1 this morning, and the error didn't occur on the first few test runs of my program; I was getting happier. But then it started happening again! I cannot figure out how to make it...

Is there a function that returns the html source of a given page as a string? Preferably, I'm looking for a function that takes a URL as an argument. Alternatively, is there such a function that takes a handle to a window (in which the desired page is open) as an argument? Thank you, David

Hi, When I load my application I get the the above first chance exception. Stepping through my code it appears to be on the last line of the these two lines Process current = Process.GetCurrentProcess(); Process processes = Process.GetProcessesByName (current.ProcessName);

Hello, I have a project that I've been working on for quite some time. I've been adding code along. Now, all of a sudden at certain points...I'm getting the above message while debugging (stepping through code). I've got a routine that makes an OLEDB call to an Access DB and populates a dataset. I've used this function for a year or so with no problems. Now...since adding code elsewhere in the program, when I step on the...

Every time I open my project, I get a warning which says "There are updated custom wrappers available for the following referenced components: Office." Ok, so I've looked around and I can't seem to find an answer to my specific question, so here goes... I am using VS 2003 and I have a solution with code and all that I am steping through. When I get to a certain spot I get the "There is no source code available for the current location." error, which I completely expect because it is a dll. My issue is that I have the source code for the dll and I was wondering if there was a way to...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
