Download file from a location on the WWW

Hi,

how can I connect to a restricted directory on a server and download a
file, if there is a newer version, than the one on the local file system?

Something like

http://user:pa**@www.myserver.com/re...y/thefile.file

Thanks,

Martin

Check out the WebClient.Downl oadFile Method. Not sure about the
security aspect of it though.

Hi Martin,

Yes, I think you may follow Patrick's suggestion to use
WebClient.Downl oadFile Method to download file from your server.

Before doing this through program, you may first determine it through
download it through IE.

For more information about using this, you may search
WebClient.Downl oadFile in groups.google.c om, there are a lot of discussion
about this, and it may help you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to post it in the group. I am standing by to be
of assistance.
