Dependency Installtion for C# Projects,micros oft.public.wind owsmedia.encode r

Hello,

I have a C# project.
I wrote a project installer in VS.NET for it.
It is working fine.

The project uses Windows Media Encoder(WMEncod er.exe )and Windows
Media Encoder SDK(WMEncoderSD K.exe). These are dependencies.
I want my project installer to automatically install these
dependencies too
when the MSI file for project is run.
I created Merge Modules for
WMEncoder.exe----> WMEncoderMergeM odule.msm
WMEncoderSDK.ex e---> WMEncoderSDKMer geModule.msm
and added them to the setup project.
But when the setup .msi is run it is failing.

Also i want the installer to install WMEncoder.exe and
WMEncoderSDK.ex e only
if they are not already installed.

Can Any one help me how to do it ??

Within my group of developers we have a list of library components we develop and continuously enhance and upgrade. We don't have source control (that's a bit of a sore issue for me) but when an update is made to a library .dll we put these out in a released directory where all of our other solutions/projects reference these "released"...

Created a .dll to use in multiple projects. Very simple, one class to return a purpose for a particular version. But when I added it as a reference to one of my other projects, I get a build error (even before I try to build it): "Error: The dependency 'mscorlib, Version= 1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral," I put the dll in the bin directory...

Hi I'm running an ASP.NET web application under IIS. I'm inserting a cache object with a file based CacheDependency. I've noticed that when the file changes the Cache object is not always immediately invalidated. e.g. Cache.Insert("myobj", data, new CacheDependency(filePath)); When I make a change to the file 'filePath' and call the...
