CodeDom Graph from a .cs file

Hi list,

Does anybody know if there is a way to build a CodeDom Graph given a
some *.cs file? I know how to create a *.cs file from a CodeDom graph,
and I couldn't find something alike in the MSDN documentation.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Ramiro,

AFAIK there is no way.
I would be interested, too.
You might check Rotor or Mono how it is done, probably.

In essence, this would be a compile-time-parse-operation, I too wish there
was a way...

Nice thing of generating codedom is that one could then spit out VB code
using the VB code generator...

And how to configure the CodeDom to generate code without @-tags? Ron A short example follows whic produces following kind of output:

Hello, We have an application that uses CodeDom for dynamic in-memory compilation of code. The same code (library) is used by both an ASP.net web site and a Windows Service. The code runs fine in the web environment, but I get file IO errors related to temporary files when it is run in by the Service. I realize that CodeDom has to create temporary files even when doing in-memory compilation. However, by default, the service runs...

I'm playing with CodeDOM and CSharpCodeProvider. I've found the following possibilities: CodeDOM -> Assembly C# Source code -> Assembly I miss the C# Source code -> CodeDOM only. Is it there? Or it's hidden under the hood?

Trying to make a utility that - Reads a VB.Net source file - Parses it into it's constuent parts - Evaluates and modifies as required - Saves the source I thought that the CodeDom and the VBCodeProvider would be the way to go.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone might know the easiest way to access static methods through a namespace(MyNamespace) from CodeDom generated code? Basically I have this in my MyNamespace.Form: //////// Most of this below is almost useless jargon just to give an idea of what values are set or not public CodeDom.Compiler.CodeDomProvider provider = new Microsoft.CSharp.CSharpCodeProvider();

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
