DataGrid, A timing issue?

Hello,
I have two questions...
I have a datagrid. I'm capturing the cell via HitTestInfo.
The first question is fairly simple. I'm using an example of how to capture
the row/column I found on the net. It uses
System.Windows. Forms.DataGrid. HitTestInfo myHitTest;
The first question is, when I use this in my code, it compiles and works
fine. But when I type...
System.Windows. Forms.DataGrid
and press the "." at the end of DataGrid, I don't get the Methods/Properties
listbox. I thought I was doing something wrong, and then I decided to
compile it and it compiled ok. Then it ran ok. Whey doesn't it show the
Methods/Properties for System.Windows. Forms.DataGrid.

My second question is...
In a dataGrid1_Mouse Down event, I'm detecting the datagrid row/column using
the above technique. I then call another class/dialog from the
dataGrid1_Mouse Down event which opens up another dialog. I want the cell I
click to be highlighted before the new dialog opens. The way it works now,
the cell is highlighted after I close the newly opened dialog. I've tried
doing a dataGrid1.Refre sh() and dataGrid1.Inval idate() but it still doesn't
repaint the datagrid before opening up the new dialog. Can this be
accomplished?

Thanks for any input... :)

I have a quirky issue that I believe involves timing and only 2 hairs left to pull. I have a modal dialog that is an IFrame. The IFrame contains another window - which contains the appropriate title. I am trying to change the title of the IFrame window to be that of the contained window title. If I uncomment the alert statement below - the title change works. Comment out the alert - and - no title change.

I will try to be as descriptive as possible, but this error has me stumped and I am not sure what relevant info to include.... I am running Access XP on a Windows XP machine. I initially began developing an app in Access 2000 but converted it several months ago to XP. So the app is now Access XP format also. My app is crashing on a regular basis, with the totally non-descript Microsoft error (Microsoft Access has encountered a...

Access 2000 main report does not display subreport data in preview and may or may not print... sometimes. Usually, the entire report is fine. The behavior does not seem to depend on particular records or data and I have not found a reliable way to reproduce the behavior. The subreport can always be generated independently and always prints. There is data in both the main report and the subreport. The link child and master fields are...

Hi, I have a problem that is sporadic and am thinking it may come down to a timing issue. I have an asp.net (vb) app that used the system.io.file.copy method to copy a .pdf file from a network drive to the local server drive. From there I use that .pdf file to create another .pdf file using a tool from ActivePDF. The problem I have is that one out of 8 or 10 times I get an error: Access to the path "c:\ActivePDF\watever.pdf" is...

Hi- I've been struggling with this problem and none of the fixes posted seem to help out at all. Yet, it seems like such a simple problem... I have a DataGrid, and load it up with data on page load. In my EditCommand event handler I set the editItemindex. All good. Except, the user needs to click twice to get the DataGrid to become editable. It's obvious to me (perhaps worngly) that ASP.NET is storing the data

Hey, I have a DataGrid that allows for a combobox in a column through a inherited DataGridColumnStyle and a inherited ComboBox. I have 3 of these columns in a row. The overall problem is that when I hit TAB on the first of 3 of these columns the cursor moves into the second and then immideantly leaves and moves to the third box. if you leave the second one it moves to a new line (through the 3rd one). I'm trying to figure out why...

Any known fixes for the wacky right-alignment bug in the WinForms datagrid (VS2003)? I've tried Ken's workaround (http://www.windowsformsdatagridhelp.com/default.aspx?ID=4bfab32d-9cff-4f5c-ba95-49bb9074a8bc), but I get no alignment at all when calling the class. George Shephard's site, while imminently useful, does not have an anwer for this issue.

Google apparently ate my original post to this (grr) so this'll be a bit more vague than the initial post, but...*sigh*. Javascript is not my forte, and I apologize for the acky-ness of the code. I'm working on a page for a travel company. There's way too much going on with it/on it, but I'm kind of stuck at this point - the client loves it, so I have to solve this problem.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
