Modify an Asp.NET WEB APPLICATION

Hi, I have an asp.net application which is already in production(deploy to our intranet) but with many functional error.
The actual developer left the company and left a developer folder without the main *.sln/ *.proj file in the folder except for the webpages/forms and the classes for each page.
I can view those pages in v-studio but cant debug as they are not open using the main proj/sln file.
and when i tried to copy the files into new project to see if i can import them and start over it crashes due to lot of references that it can not find how and where they are link.

Please can anyone advise on way forward to solve this?
