How to save an image given a URL

i have an image

i have a url(virtual directory)

i need to save the image in the above virtual directory

also shud again show it in a datalist


any ideas

Yes I have lots of ideas on the issue...
My first idea: You should start off by researching your question!

My second idea: start by researching how to upload an image (because I think the image you're talking about exists on the client computer)

My third idea: research how to use the Server.MapPath() method...which will be helpful when you are uploading the image


My fourth idea: research how to use a DataList (this has nothing to do with images and I don't know why you just threw this into your ...not-so-well-formatted question/statement)
