Response.Redirect

375 256MB
Hi,

I have been noticing one absurd thing far the past couple of days in my workplace, I am redirecting to another form, but while redirecting an unusual thing takes place, it redirects and goes to another page, but on debugging I find that it encounters the catch portion too.
The code is as below

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. try
  2. {
  3. Response.Redirect("default3.aspx");
  4. }
  5. catch(Exception ex)
  6. {
  7. Response.Write(ex.ToString());
  8. }
I am enclosing the error as an image, But as i have put up above, the form gets redirected, but on debugging i see that it goes to the catch part too.
The error I get is System.Threading.ThreadAbortException error
May I know the reason why this happens

Regards
cmrhema

Yes you are right cmrhema, Response.Redirect throws ThreadAbortException exception..you could use
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Response.Redirect("url",false);
  2.
The extra boolean specifies that execution of the current page should terminate.

Thanks DeepBlue. Your code works.
One small doubt although, does this error occurs to all or only to me.
If it occurs to me then where am I going wrong.
