No it doesn't.

ViewState is specific to it's page and cannot be accessed in another page.

and i guess that the ViewState will maintain the state of the page across the PostBack of the page...but im not sure and clear of this....can u plz help me out in clearing my doubt..

Yes ViewState is maintained across multiple postbacks...

if (Page.IsPostBack)
{
   // Retrieve and display the property value.
   strColor = (string)ViewState["color"];
   Response.Write(strColor);
}
else
   // Save the property value.
   ViewState["color"] = "yellow";
 

"You can use view state to store your own page-specific values across round trips when the page posts back to itself. For example, if your application is maintaining user-specific information — that is, information used in the page but not necessarily part of any control — you can store it in view state." MSDN
