I have two identical web-sites, one for internal use and one for external
use. The issue I have is after "Publish"ing my web-site and copying the
published site to each server, one works and the other doesn't. Both
servers are Windows 2003 R2 and the working server has Exchange 2003 SP2
backend and the non-working (external) server has Exchange 2003 SP2 Front
End. Prior to this publish & copy release, both sites worked. The code
that changed between the working version and the non-working version had
nothing to do with the FreeTextBox control. The error I get is that
App_License.dll doesn't contain a valid manifest.
Steps I have taken so far:
Deleted app_license.dll and license.licx.
Deleted all the obj and bin directories from the sub-projects that make up
this site
Verified the asp.net configs are the same on both servers, including
registering ASP.Net 1.1 on the external server, even though this is a VS
2008 solution targeted at .NET 2.0.
Downloaded and installed the latetest version of FreeTextBox (3.2.0) which
supposedly fixes some (undisclosed) problems with licensing
After each step, I cleaned and rebuilt/republished the site to the server in
question with no change.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike Ober.
