Turn off SelectedValue

I have a ListBox that I want to remove the current SelectedValue in some
events. The ListBox is bound to an SqlDataSource so I can't change it to an
empty string. How can I do this? Thanks.

Even when binding you can add programmatically an additional value to the
list (for example from the DataBound event). Is it to have a value acting as
"(Please select a value from the list)" entry ? Then you can also add a
validator to enforce having the user selecting explicitely a value...

Can you not set SelectedIndex = -1 ?
