Web Services/Requiring HTTPS

I'm expanding into some unfamiliar territory here. Wonder if anyone can
help.

I want to setup a sub domain (something.domain.com) that will (A) provide
some web services, and (B) will be access via HTTPS.

I guess my initial questions are:

1. Are there any issues to exposing Web services through HTTPS I should be
aware of?

2. Is there some code I'd need to verify that my Web services will run ONLY
when accessed using HTTPS?

3. Any other tips, links?

Thanks!

Jonathan

That article looks a little more intended for site administrators where I'm
using shared hosting. But I'll check it out. Thanks.
