vs2003 slow build

This is a problem that has occurred from time to time. I am using VS
2003 and when I debug a project or build the project it gets hung up
and wont stop trying to build. It never loads. If I close VS2003 and
then restart it it works fine one time and then the problem occurs the
next time I try to debug. I have to keep closing and opening the
program to get the site to debug.

Anyone know what is going on?

Thanks
