how to get error remotely?

Bob
Hi,

when running an aspx file remotely, i get this error:

To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on
remote machines, please create a <customErrorstag within a "web.config"
configuration file located in the root directory of the current web
application. This <customErrorstag should then have its "mode" attribute
set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
So here is my web.config:

<configuration>
<connectionStrings>
<add name="resemi" connectionString="Data Source=.\sqlexpress;Initial
Catalog=mydb;Integrated Security=True"
providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
</connectionStrings>
<system.web>

<compilation debug="false" strict="false" explicit="true" />
<pages>
<namespaces>
<clear />
<add namespace="System" />
......
<add namespace="System.Web.UI.HtmlControls" />
</namespaces>
</pages>

<authentication mode="Windows" />

<customErrors mode="Off">
</customErrors>
</system.web>
</configuration>
But still the same error ...
Thanks for help

In your web.config file make the error section look like this:

<customErrors="Off"/>

this should show you the error when you hit the page on your web server from
your box
