CompositeControl Inheritance

P: n/a
I've created a control that inherits from CompositeControl. I want to use
this control as a base for other composite controls to inherit from. The
problem is that any controls that inherit from this one can't override any
composite control methods such as CreateChildControls.

Ideas?

Thanks

You should be able to override that control w/ no problems, as it's
protected / virtual ... maybe some code could help us help you?

Should work. Always post the error message you have. In this case you could
probably also post the bare bone class that inherirs from your control and
tries to override CreateChildControls...

This was strange. I decided to start over and create new project of
type Web Control Library and recreated everything. It all appears to
work as I expected now. Thanks for your input
