using a xml data source for crystal reports

cti
Hi,
I am developping a winform application using C# .Net 2.0 and I have to
make crystal reports.
I use an XML file as a datasource. Do I have touse a dataset to build
my report or is it
possible to use the XML file directly ( most of the examples of I
found on internet use datasets)
thank you
