ASP.NET 2.0

Hi,

I have recently begun exploring the Beta 1 of VS.NET 2005...one of the first
things that I noticed was that I donīt understand whats happening in ASP.NET
any longer... :-(

Where has methods like:
InitializeComponent()
OnInit(EventArgs e)
Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)

gone..?

By default the class uses the Partial keyword so I suspect that Microsoft
has decided that "advanced" methods like those are hidden away in antoher
class file or something like that? Please tell me I am wrong!?

Anyway what I am looking for is an advanced tutorial that explains/takes me
on a journey from ASP.NET 1.0 to 2.0 where one can start looking at new
features(master pages and so on..) but more important explains to me how the
..NET environment has changed and why! Somewhere is the code/methods
described above and I wantīs to know where!!

Regards
/Oscar

Hi Oscar:

It all still works the same (there is still a Load and Init event),
it's just the code and compilation model is slightly different.

You might want to read through this document for some background info:
ASP.NET 2.0 Internals
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de.../Internals.asp
