databind in netbeans5.0

i need to bind my data to a dropdown list. but how do i go about doing
it?

and my database's connected already:
Connection con = null;
ResultSet rs = null;
Statement sm = null;

try{
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:FYP");

rs.close();
sm.close();
con.close();
}

catch(Exception e){
System.out.println("Exception"+e);
}
