Can't run the Web Site Administration Tool

Why is it that whenever I try to run the Web Site Administration tool from
Visual Studio 2005 by selecting Website->ASP.NET Configuration, I always get
a browser window with the following message: "An error was encountered.
Please return to the previous page and try again." ? This happens no matter
what type of project I invoke it from, even an empty "skeleton" project
created by the Visual Studio Wizard.

Have you run aspnet_regsql.exe ?
