Hi,
I recently started having a problem with Visual Studio .NET 2005 and
creating / viewing ASP.NET 2.0 websites. About 1/4 of the time, when I
click on a page and click "View in Browser", or even if I build / debug
the site, I will hit the "Applicaiton Offline" message and have to
manually remove app_offline.htm from my projects development directory.
This is not a production environment, and not being hosted by IIS.
I'm viewing the sites using ASP.NET 2.0 Development Server.
I can just manually delete this file whenever it reappears, but it is
kind of annoying and I would like to know why it keeps showing up. I've
already determined that it is _not_ caused by right clicking the ASP.NET
Development Server and hitting "Stop", and it is not caused by anything
in my web.config as far as I can tell (although I don't know what half
the stuff in there actually does).
Thanks in advance for any advice, thoughts, or ideas!
