Huge DetailsView or manual?

Hi,

I have Data of a Person separated into two tables. Table p has the
person data and table e the employment data. Now I want to make a nice
detail view that should allow me most of following features:

-tabbed view: one tab for the person, one for the employment data
-bind the boolean gender to a drop-down list (male/female)
-warn the user, if he leaves/closes the window without saving

A few questions for which I might open an own thread if necessary. The
main question is, should I use the DetailsView for that or do this stuff
manually?

Currently I also the SQLDataObject, as automatically generated
TableAdapters only include one table. If I did everything on my own I
could nicely work with the typed DataSet.

Thanks for your suggestions

Rudi
