Disabling button until page loaded

Can anyone recomend the best way of disabling a button a page until it is
fully loaded? Would it need to be done with Javacript?

Yes, JavaScript.

See example on following thread:
http://forums.asp.net/4/1173230/ShowThread.aspx

It disables entire form before page is loaded fully but shows you how it can
be done
