Finding control value

Below is the code for the SelectedItemTemplate within a Datalist. What I am
trying to do is do a find on the Label2 and show the Text in another
control. What is the best approach to this task.

thanks

<SelectedItemTemplate>
<asp:Label cssClass="numPos" ID="Label2" runat="server"
Text=<%#Eval("col1")%>></asp:Label>
</SelectedItemTemplate>
