User Control in a Page Heirarchy

Hi All,
i do have a Web User Control and it is dragged an dropped
in an aspx page , The behaviour is that once the Page_Load is fired in
the aspx page it goes to the Page_Load Event of the User Control.

My question is How does it work? is there any inheritance in play, or
how is the architecture done
Thanks in Advance

Thomson
