cdosysmail error message on asp.net 2.0

Hello everbody

I am trying to send an e-mail from my asp.net 2.0 web application. I'm
calling stored procedure which sends an e-mail using cdosysmail object.
Everything works fine apart from when I send the message with an attachment.
The error I'm getting is:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A severe error occurred on the current
command. The results, if any, should be discarded.

Weird that the e-mail still comes through with the file attached, the error
message is displayed on the web application only. If I run the stored proc
from sql query analyzer, everything works fine and no error is thrown. I
browsed the internet a lot and found different assumptions about the error.
Microsoft has the article and fix for this error
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/872939/en-us, but this applies for framework
1.1, and I am using 2.0.

I wonder if anybody has faced such error before and know how to fix it?
