ASP.NET Security Database Requirements

I have several Web sites that I am operating as either public anonymous
sites or private Windows authenticated sites.

Is aspnetdb.mdf being used for anything by the .NET 2.0 Framework? Is it
necessary to upload aspnetdb.mdf whenever I publish these Websites or can I
simply delete the database and save the extra upload time.

You can safely delete the databases if your sites don't use ASP.NET Membership features.
