.NET, Java, PHP, Apache, IIS? What?

Hi,

I just put up what looks like a fairly simple site.

I'm surprised at how complex the whole process is/was.

I'd like to start adding simple features like forums, chat, etc...

What's the best way to get this done?

Is there a ISP-like service I can go to which handles all this
complexity
for me and I just concentrate on the content?

People usually are. ;o)

'best' would probably be to have someone that's well versed in the realm of
server-side application development to do it for you.

Look for a web host that will install a CMS/Blog/Forum system for you.

Keep in mind that that still will take time and effort on your part to
configure and customize things.
