Open a Word and Excel file in ASP.NET

My WORD & EXCEL FILES are located on Server.

I want to open them on clients computer

i find out path of file in following manner

string filepath = AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory + @"PO_Attachment/"+lstattach.SelectedValue.ToString() ;

so plz tell me how to open it on clients computer

if i work on server then window.open() works
but on client it dosen't


so plz help me
