Formview Nested in Repeater?

I have been trying to nest a formview inside of a repeater with no
luck. Basically the reason why I am trying to accomplish this was to
give a repeater some clean edit/insert functionality in my application
through the formview.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible? I suppose I can use a GridView
with a single Template Column to achieve the same functionality, but
now my curiosity has been piqued and I must know!
