SessionState Mode=SQLServer and Session.Abandon

Ed
I am trying out SessionState with Mode=SQLServer. I have my
code run Session.Abandon, but the session entry in the table
ASPStateTempSessions is still there? I was expecting that Session.Abandon
would remove the Session from the table. Is their a different method I
should use
to remove the Session table entry? Is the only way the session will be
removed from the table, is when the session Expires? I notice that there is a
SQL job
that deletes expired sessions, but would it not be better if this entry is
removed
immediately on logout?

Thank you

Ed
