** This code is in Visual Basic.NET **

In this example you connect to an MS SQL database.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Dim conn As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection("Data Source=192.168.0.1;Initial Catalog=DATABASEname;User ID=dev;Password=123")
  2. Dim adapter As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter("SELECT * FROM [tblMyTable])", conn)
  3. Dim ds As New Data.DataSet
  4. adapter.Fill(ds, "tblMyTable")
  5. txtBox.Text = ds.Tables("tblMyTable").Rows(0).Item("fldMyColumn")

You can create a new Dataset or add a new one in our App_Data project folder...
when you create it a wizzard will guide you to configure it...

function getElement()
{
MyDataSet.ClienteDataTable cdt = new MyDataSetTableAdapters.ClienteTableAdapter().GetDa ta();
textBox1.Text = cdt.Rows[0].ItemArray[0].toString();
}
Try it.....
