Getting the first day of the month

I have a calendar and i'm getting the first day of the month by doing so
below
calendarstartdate.SelectedDate =
Convert.ToDateTime(String.Format("{0:yyyy/MM/1}",DateTime.Now));
Are there better ways to do this?
Any ideas

There are other ways, certainly, but I wouldn't have thought any was
particularly better or worse...

Without converting to/from a string:
DateTime nu = DateTime.Now;
DateTime first = new DateTime(nu.Year, nu.Month, 1);
