Controlling a .net program from Browser

Hello,
I created a standard .net (windows form) program
which do a few operations with my scanner.

I would like to do this:
-adding a button (or image or some other element) in one of my
web pages (asp.net)
-if I click this button my local (installed) applications starts
-when I close this application a parameter is returned
to my web page (but this isn't a 'must have')

Is this spossible?
Thanks!!!
