Receiving mail - ASP.NET

Hello,

I am instructed to develop an email client application(like
hotmail/yahoo/any other email)
For sending mail, we use ASPMail object, SMTP. How can we receive mails

and configure Inbox, Trash and assign usernames and password etc...
Can anybody help me?
