Crashes caused by attempted use of a partially loaded page.

We have some fairly complex ASP/DotNet1.1 screens with lots of validators and
javascript. I've received a complaint that pushing a button on the screen
before it is fully loaded caused crashes, apparently due to Javascript
looking for non-existent objects.

Is there any way to prevent this sort of thing or should I just tell them to
"Wait till the page loads!"?

Keep critical buttons in disbaled state when page starts loading. Put a
piece of javascript at the end of the page. In that JS enable the buttons
that were disabled to start with.
